The Most Beautiful Vintage Perfume Ads
I’ve always loved vintage perfume, and I’ve recently discovered that I also love vintage perfume ads. That’s because perfume ads from the 1920s to the 1960s were very creative and used many artistic styles that were popular during those decades. Some are illustrated while others use pictures. Most of them aim to showcase their perfume as the most luxurious perfume of all.
I admire the art style of these ads most of all, especially the illustrated ones. Few ads these days are illustrated. Instead, they use the power of photography and photoshop. But something about old illustrated ads is very charming. I’ve decided to compile various perfume ads that I think are worth some attention. Many of them are done in the art deco style of the 1930s and ’30s while others take inspiration from the surrealist movement. Others are completely unique.
You can often guess the decade these ads were created just by looking at the art style that is used.
