Here are the ingredients you need:
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- 3 ounces ginger beer, cold
- Twist of lime
Ideally, you should have a copper mug available to serve this drink the traditional way, but this isn’t necessary if you really don’t want to run around finding the perfect mug. Just make sure you chill whatever mug or glass you use since this drink is meant to be very cold. You always should opt for high-quality vodka and ginger beer. Ideally, if you want the drink to be as traditional as possible, you can use Smirnoff vodka.
Again, to keep the drink cold, make sure the beer is chilled. If you want, you can chill the vodka beforehand too. Because of how cold this cocktail is, it is perfect for a hot summer day. First, add the lime juice and vodka and mix them together with ice. Then, pour some crisp ginger beer over the top of these ingredients. You can use a twist or wedge of lime for garnish.
